7:00pm. MunchBunch. Two Rows Restaurant and Brewery, at the corner of Southwestern and Greenville Ave. (Mapsco 36 B). Two Rows is a brewpub; on Monday night they have a great half-price pizza special. Great pizza and beer, and if fermented grain is not to your taste, they make their own root beer as well. Ask for the Mensa table. If you get a blank look in return, scan for familiar faces in the area to the left of the door or out on the patio.
Wednesday

Thursday
11:45am. D,U.M.B. (Downtown Underground Mensa Brunch) Downtown because that's where we work and it's a hassle to have to drive anywhere at lunchtime. Underground because the tunnel is handy, both in terms of walking and fitting into an acronym. Brunch to get a headstart on "lunch begins at 12" crowd.Noon. Pancho's Mexican Buffet in Plano at the SE corner of Parker and Alma (Mapsco 658 L). The phone number there is (972) 578-1722. The buffet is $5.95 all you can eat. They do separate checks and it's quick and easy to get your food. Ask for the Mensa table.

NEW DAY, TIME & LOCATION!!
10:00am. C.Y.C.L.E. SIG (Corps of Youthful Cyclists Lacking Exercise). A weekly fun ride for those wanting a reasonably paced ride (we average about 12 mph and you are free to go faster
or slower). Meet on Mockingbird Lane in the parking lot just west of the bridge that crosses the north end of White Rock Lake. We will go once round the lake (about 10 miles), with an optional second time round. Helmets strongly recommended. We usually go for lunch or refreshments afterwards (optional).

7:00pm. First Friday Film Flings. Our monthly movie group meets at the AMC Glen Lakes, SE corner of Walnut Hill & Central Expy (near the Toys R Us, Mapsco 26 P). If we don't want to see anything at AMC Glen Lakes, the UA Park Central is right around the corner, so we have a dozen first run movies to choose from. If I see a definite choice, I'll send an e-mail to regulars that day. Worst case, if there are absolutely NO movies worth seeing, we'll go to Gershwin's for dinner. See M-Aura for details.3 Sunday

That way you can still come to the meeting and at least have a feel for what's going on. His topic is How to Become a Writer the Hard Way. Bill Gray is the author of 10 published books under his own name, plus five under pseudonyms, including Bino (1988), In Defense of Judges (1990), Killings (1993), Poisoned Dreams (1993), Bino’s Blues (1995), Shares (1996), and under the pseudonym Sarah Gregory, In Self Defense (1996), The Best Defense (1998), and Capital Scandal (2000).

8:00pm. NEW MEMBERS PARTY! Our semi-annual big bash! It’s early in the month this time, so we’re giving you advance warning. We’ll have piles of food, beer and wine, and lots of Mensans to party with! Come and meet some new friends, or catch up with those you haven’t seen in a while. As at the Spring New Members Party, we would like to cordially encourage all our members under 18 years of age to attend between 8:00 and 9:00pm, so we can meet you! It’s FREE for new members (in NTM fewer than six months) and a guest. Otherwise, $5 cover charge or a previously coordinated dish. No solicitor will call, so PLEASE CALL no later than 6:30pm on Wednesday October 4 to volunteer to bring a homemade goody. Cleanup volunteers gratefully accepted. Don’t miss it!
