Saturday, October 12, the Susan G. Korman Foundation will be holding their annual Race for the Cure, benefiting breast cancer research. I am looking for volunteers to create a team from NTM. For those of you who have never participated in the event before, it is a wonderful, moving experience to walk with thousands of other women to support a cause that affects far too many of our lives. If you have been involved before, its time to join again.The morning begins with a 1K walk/run that is open to men and families. This is followed by the main event, a 5K walk/run for women only. There is a $15 registration fee, and all participants get a t-shirt and goody bag, in addition to the feeling of doing something good for others.
I need at least ten folk to sign up in order for us to qualify as a group. If you are interested, you must let me know by September 20 so that I can get our registration packets submitted by the deadline. Please join me in this very worthwhile endeavor.
