Monthly/Occasional Events

BrewSig:

Tastings, etc.  "Life is too short to waste it on mediocre beer."

Culture Quest:

Recruits a team to take part in the annual spring Culture Quest competition.

Ethnnic Eats:

Tries a new restaurant monthly with food from around the world.

Singles Symphony SIG:

A group of single Mensans who enjoy the arts, primarily the Dallas Symphony and Dallas Chamber Orchestra.  Members also frequent art museums, opera, ballet and live theater.  During the symphony season the members attend two or three concerts and at least one social event monthly.

S.I.N.SIG:

Shy, Inactive or New members can get their feet wet (if they've never attended a Mensa function and prefer to get acquainted in a smaller event).  Built for shy people by recovering shy people.

Wine Tasting:

Formed in 1972 and the longest-lived continuously active SIG.  Meets quarterly (or thereabouts), with events including formal wine tastes (where members bring a selection to taste), and tours of vineyards and wineries.

Gen-X Group:

Gifted & Talented Survivors Support Group.  If you're wondering where everyone your age is, this group meets at least once a month.  Contact to get on the emailing list.

First Friday Film Flings:

Catch up with old friends.  Make new ones.  Get out of the house and see a good movie.  We will meet for our monthly movie group - EVERY first Friday at AMC Glen Lakes--the SE corner of Walnut Hill and Central (near the Toys R Us).
