The NTM Clubhouse for Members Only

Yahoo! Clubs is a great way to bring together the members of North Texas Mensa on the Web.  Yahoo provides us with the following exceptional features:
What's the difference between a listed and an unlisted club?

There are two kinds of clubs the Yahoo! Clubs offer: listed and unlisted. Both types offer the same features.

Important: A listed club can be changed into an unlisted club, but an unlisted club cannot be changed into a listed club.

Listed clubs - A listed club is visible in the Yahoo! Clubs directory. Other people who use Yahoo! Clubs will be able to see your club's home page and message board, and can join your club without your permission. If you are the founder, you have the power to remove members. Listed clubs are good when you want other folks you don't know to join your club. Examples: support groups, alumni associations, public forums.

Unlisted clubs - An unlisted club is only visible to people who know the Web address to your club. People can't join your club unless you (the founder) sends email inviting them to join. Unlisted clubs are good for private communities -- when you want to restrict access to people you don't know, and when you don't want strangers getting in. Examples: families, friends, co-workers.
