10.   Check the trees for snipers. (Surprisingly, this has many applications in everyday business and personal life.)
9.   You may not know any more than the troops you’re leading, but they better think you do.
8.   Inventory everything before you sign for it.
7.   It’s better to be a Chief than an Indian.
6.   Keep your feet dry. (Don’t worry about the ammunition(it’s waterproof.)
5.   It’s both exciting and scary to sign a receipt for nuclear weapons.
4.   Make sure the troops are paid on time.
3.   If you wear it, you don’t have to carry it.
2.   You can do everything right and still get killed.
And the most important thing I learned in the Army:
1.   Never pass up an opportunity to eat, sleep, or go to the bathroom.
